Generate guild names for adventuring companies, trade houses, thieves' circles, mage orders, and faction lists.
Guilds make a setting feel lived in because they control ordinary work: prices, apprentices, safe roads, stolen goods, spell licenses, funeral rites, monster contracts, and who gets to open a shop inside the walls. A good guild name should give the group a public face before anyone explains its secrets.
This generator mixes trade words, emblems, reputations, and place names. Some results sound legal and respectable. Others sound like the kind of organization that keeps a second ledger under the floorboards. Use the first result that gives you a scene idea, then change one word if it clashes with your map.
Think about who chose the name. A chartered merchant hall may pick something safe enough to paint on a sign. A thieves' ring may choose a name that sounds like a harmless labor group. A mage guild might use an old emblem because members care more about lineage than marketing. That decision tells you how the guild wants strangers to see it.
Put a guild inside a fantasy town when you need local pressure. Give it a guildmaster, clerk, rival, or runaway apprentice with the NPC generator. If the group is armed, sworn, and ceremonial, compare it with a chivalric order. If it sends people below ground for relics, maps, or debt collection, pair it with a named dungeon.
